NEW YORK — U.
Army commander Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis will testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday on the Iraq war, the Pentagon announced Monday.
Mattis will appear before the panel in his capacity as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
The hearing is expected to begin at 10 a.m.
(PT) and be followed by a question-and-answer session.
The military commander in Iraq, Gen. Martin Dempsey, is expected on Wednesday to testify before a Senate Armed Forces Committee hearing about his response to the Iraq crisis.
